Countryside Academy is sort of like a boarding school only instead of staying inside of the school, the students stay outside and become one with the earth and nature.  The corridors are not very comfortable to remind the students that they came here for learning and not for a play to stay.

"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion." ~Henry David Thoreau

The students will be living under a roof only there will be no walls during the Spring and and Summer.  They will each have their own cot and dresser.  During the winter sometype of atificial walls and heating will be put up to ensure warmth for the students.

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." ~Henry David Thoreau

There are four roofs into which the students will be put accoding to year.  Each roof is essentially built into 9 "rooms" consisting of 6 beds and dressers to place clothing.

All students will be given 3 sets of uniforms depending on the season, winter or summer, and 3 pairs of shoes/boots.
  • The summer uniform consits of a collared white polo shirt (short sleeves) and black knee length shorts for boys and choice of a skirt for girls.  The shoes with be plain artificial leather sandals.
  • The winter uniform consists of a long sleeved white collared shirt and black pants.  Each student will be given boots without fur.
"Each man takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him. But a day comes when he begins to care that he does not cheat his neighbor. Then all goes well - he has changed his market-cart into a chariot of the sun." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Each student grade assigned roof, will have a restroom area with four toilets and sinks.  There wil also be four showers.  This is not much, but in a pinch nature is just as good.

"A great man is always willing to be little." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
