Countryside Academy, in the middle of an open field of beautiful surroundings, is a diverse community dedicated to educationg young men and women for lives of faith, love, growth and leadership.  Through outstanding teaching and personal formation, the school challenges its talented student body to intellectual excellence, integrity, and life-long learning and growth.  Inspired by the ideals of Henry David Thoreau, the principles of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathaniel Hawthorne, the passion of Walt Whitman, Herman Melville, Edgar Allan Poe, and Mark Twain.  This community strives to use their gifts to promote transcendentalism, feminism, romanticism, abolitionism, and industrialism.
